Why residential rather than weekly sessions?
+
Many clients have tried weekly therapy and found it difficult to maintain momentum—life intervenes, old patterns re-establish between sessions, and progress feels frustratingly slow. The residential format creates complete immersion: no phone calls, no work emails, no daily responsibilities. This allows for depth and breakthrough that weekly sessions simply cannot achieve. Most clients accomplish more clarity in 2.5 intensive days than in months of conventional therapy.
What if we're not sure whether to stay together?
+
Many clients come to us with exactly that question. InAchord isn't about saving relationships at any cost—it's about gaining clarity. Some clients continue together with a redesigned structure; others separate respectfully. Both outcomes are successful if they're conscious choices rather than defaults driven by fear or unresolved patterns.
How is confidentiality maintained?
+
Absolute discretion is foundational. We use private country house hotels, maintain secure records, and never disclose client identities. The residential setting enhances confidentiality by removing you from environments where you might be recognised or overheard.
Is this appropriate for business partnerships and co-founders?
+
Yes. Co-founder dynamics often mirror couple relationships—shared history, unspoken expectations, and high stakes. The residential format allows these issues to be addressed thoroughly and privately, without the awkwardness of weekly sessions in a business context.
What happens during the residential programme?
+
You arrive mid-afternoon on day one, start with orientation, then engage in a full intensive day on day two with alternating individual and joint sessions. Day three finalises integration work. The schedule is structured yet flexible—if something significant emerges, we adjust immediately.
Do both people need to be equally committed?
+
Ideally, yes, though ambivalence is normal. What matters is a willingness to engage for 2.5 days. Active resistance or coercion makes progress difficult.
What if we've tried therapy before without success?
+
Many clients have tried individual or couples therapy. InAchord’s dual-practitioner model fundamentally changes the dynamic—both perspectives are heard deeply, and breakthroughs happen in real time.
Can you help with major life transitions like retirement?
+
Yes. Major transitions often expose longstanding patterns. These moments create opportunity for clarity and honest re-design of the next chapter. We work extensively with clients navigating retirement, stepping down from roles, and children leaving home.
What's included in the three months of follow-up support?
+
Two video check-ins at six and twelve weeks, plus email access to both practitioners. This provides reinforcement and guidance as you apply new patterns in daily life.
What if we need to bring work or take calls?
+
We strongly discourage work interruptions. True immersion requires stepping away fully. Exceptions can be made for emergencies, but the programme is most effective when you can disconnect completely.
